Spruced-up Martindale Hall continues to be open

Martindale Hall continues to be open to the public.

Sharon and Mick Morris, of Mintaro Maze, have taken a year’s tenure as caretakers of Martindale Hall with the first option to renew for another year.

The Hall is open every day from 11am to 4pm for self-guided tours with the aid of a history sheet. A $4 discount is available to visitors to both Maze and Hall.

Clare historian Val Tilbrook will on the door Mondays and Tuesdays. She’s happy to impart her valuable knowledge of the building.

Mintaro residents may visit the Hall free of charge on presentation of a driving licence showing the 5415 postcode.

There will be no more overnight accommodation and meals but the Morrises are making the Hall available for functions.

This is a must see place. A wonderful fanciful look at life how it was for the very rich. Keep up the good work.
